☀️💦 Summer fun was in full swing at the Independence Village Fishers East pool party! Residents splashed, danced, and soaked up the sunshine with water balloon battles, a slip and slide, and even a wheelchair and walker wash station to make sure everyone was included in the fun. 🤩✨

Drum roll for our Olympic standings... 🥁✨🌎

Congratulations to Brooke, our Wellness Director, for taking home the GOLD medal 🏅🎉 And lets not forget Karen, our Executive Chef and Katie, our Life Enrichment Director who tied taking home our special SILVER/BRONZE combination medals!

Thank you to all our competitors and our residents for cheering us all along the way! It was a week filled with laughter and competition, but most importantly it fueled the flame of giving by raising money for the Alzheimer's Association - Compete for a Cure 💜

The fourth and final event of our Olympic games was the icing on the cake - or should we say the cheese ball on the shaving cream 😂✨ Competitors picked a resident to partner up with for this thrilling event and the photos tell it all. Chef Karen and her partner Lura walked away with the gold, while Executive Director Jame took home silver with her partner Nancy 🏅🌎

It's time for the third event of our Olympic games ✨🌎 Using only their feet, competitors had to pull a newspaper towards them without knocking over the trophy placed at the end! Brooke, our Wellness Director, took home her second gold medal and Jeff, our Maintenance Tech, took home the silver🏅💪

For Olympic game number two, our competitors had to stack Oreo cookies on their foreheads, in hopes of having the tallest cookie tower ✨🍪 Who knew that our Wellness Director, Brooke was so talented?! She took home the gold after stacking a tower of 13 cookies🏅🎉

Game number one was a Cup Stacking Challenge and Chef Karen is now leading the pack ✨
