Meet MediLodge of Midland’s Physical Therapist: Lexi Embs, DPT! 💙

Lexi has been part of the MediLodge of Midland family since 2024. If you visit, you’ll likely find her in the therapy gym… dancing! 🕺💃

We asked Lexi a few fun questions:

What made you choose PT?
“I’ve always been driven by a desire to help others while truly getting to know them beyond their diagnosis. Physical therapy allows me to build meaningful relationships with patients and walk alongside them through their recovery journey. I’m especially motivated by the opportunity to witness their progress over time and celebrate both the small milestones and major victories that move them closer to healing and independence.”

What do you like to do when you’re not at work?
Spend time with my pets and binge-watch crime documentaries. 🐶🐱📺

What’s your go-to way to decompress after a long day?
Watch a movie or TV show with my dog and two cats.

If you weren’t a PT, what would you be doing?
Owner of a hobby farm or a zookeeper for hippopotamuses. 🦛

"The reason I chose Medilodge of Midland is that it’s very close to my friends, family, and home — and they had a bed available right away when I needed it! Some of the people and departments that really stood out to me were Penny, the Resident Advocate, who was so kind and caring; the Physical and Occupational Therapy teams, who were so encouraging; and Dr. Arshad, who was very familiar with my past medical issues. The staff allowed me to do as much as I could on my own, which helped speed up my recovery and get me back home!"

The Therapy Department has been absolutely wonderful—they always came in with a smile and were willing to help me get up and going again!
