Tis the season for being grateful. I'm putting up the ole gaudy tree and this gals grinch's heart grew 3 times bigger.
The babes over at Stranded Yarn and Coffee Shop purchased one of my art pieces. I always get a little sad when a piece goes. But something about it going to a place I frequent is lovely. When dropping off Humpty today, it was booming in there. Several groups doing projects and a wonderful display of camaraderie, chit chatting away and sipping coffees. Enjoyed a decaf "frog it" and selfie time with the Mad Hatter. I managed to frazzle Carolynn Hayward Porritt by threatening to steal her knitted electric colored chicken that she won't sell me, but there is a pattern available lol. This one guards the check out. ❤️. Its her birthday tomorrow and I hope she finds herself in a bookstore where the have ALL the best books and a staff that is welcoming and silly, so she can feel how I do when I step inside Stranded. Even though I thought her and Nicole Woods were out of their minds when the started this lil yarn shoppe years ago with how busy they both were with family, work and school. They did it. And it's thriving. And I love it. Please keep Standed Yarn in mind when doing your holiday shopping. I know amazon is easy. But for quality and the strong possibilities of meeting some new friends, shop local! They have tons of classes and a wonderful selections. Grab a cup of coffee and sit and see the ambience. A michigan winter can be amazing if you've got the right attitude. Thanks gals!
