Care from the heart to meet the unique needs of patients and families. Hospice of Midland has provided compassionate care to thousands of patients and families.
The vision of a few members of this community met with a tremendous amount of hard work, cooperation, and love for one’s fellow man. Our continuing commitment is to build on the needs of our patients with a life-limiting illness. Hospice of Midland provides a true community of care for patients and their families as the only non-profit community-owned hospice in the Permian Basin. Hospice of Midland's care follows the patient in the home, hospital, nursing home, assisted living facility or anywhere the patient calls home with patient services available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. When medicine cannot provide a cure, Hospice of Midland can diminish suffering and offer care and assistance that helps maintain a better quality of life for the patient. Our services involve treatment of physical and emotional pain and symptoms focusing on improving the patient’s comfort and quality of life. Our philosophy is that as life nears its end, every individual has the right to spend his or her remaining days in peace and with dignity. We focus specifically on comfort, dignity and pain control as we respond to the symptoms, needs and goals of the patients and their families. Hospice of Midland is accredited by CHAP (Community Health Accreditation Program) and is a member of NHPCO (National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization), TNMHO (Texas & New Mexico Hospice Organization) and the Texas Non-Profit Hospice Alliance.

What better way to wrap up summer than with a splash of color?
Our very own Oscar Jimenez hosted an End-of-Summer Painting Group at Northside Senior Center, and it was a huge hit! Creativity, and smiles filled the room as residents painted their way into the new season.

Meet Our New Social Work Interns!
We are so excited to welcome two amazing UTPB seniors to the Hospice of Midland team:
Ariyel Gordon – from San Antonio, Texas, currently completing her senior year in Social Work. Ariyel chose hospice care because “I believe that during times of great need, people deserve someone they can truly count on for support and compassion.”
Brionna (With Glasses)– also in her senior year, has always known she wanted to help others, and social work is her path to do just that. “The field gives me many opportunities to provide help or comfort in any way, shape, or form.”
We’re thrilled to have these compassionate future social workers with us as they learn, grow, and make a difference in the lives of our patients and families.
Please help us give Ariyel and Brionna a warm Hospice of Midland welcome!

Coffee, doughnuts, and important conversations!
Zelda, one of our fantastic social workers, and Oscar, who is one of our clinical liaisons, joined the residents at Manor Crest Apartments to talk about Living Wills—why they matter and how to get started. They even helped those ready to begin creating one right away!
We’re grateful for the warm welcome at Manor Crest and excited to bring more helpful classes like this to our community. Hospice of Midland is here to help. Look out for more events like these as we announce them via social media.
