Reading with your child is a simple yet important part of their day. By exposing them to books of all different types, you are giving them access to new vocabulary, providing them with an understanding of new concepts, modeling language and most importantly giving them your 1:1 attention.

If I could give one piece of advice to parents to help increase their child's communication skills, taking 10-15 minutes each day to read a book with your child would be my recommendation.
