Looks like it is just play with play-doh, but it is SO MUCH MORE:
1. A child’s job is to play! They learn through play!
2. Proprioceptive input to the upper body which can be organizing and calming for some children.
3. Phonemic awareness and reading skills.
4. Sequencing of events and developing a plan. (Ideation and Executive Functioning Skills).
5. Communicating HER plan. (Expressive language and CHILD LED PLAY)
6. L blends (play, plan, place).
7. Awareness for our tongue placement while we are also doing something else with our body!
JUST TO NAME A FEW! I could go on and on.
