Personal Care Attendant needed in Winterpock area of Chesterfield County. Help wanted to support an individual with disabilities in his family home. Job duties to include but may not be limited to support with ADL such as bathing/dressing/eating/toileting and IADL including personal shopping/taking to/from appointments/assisting with maintaining clean living space for the participant/social activities. Duties expectation will be discussed and agreed upon prior to employment. Virginia State police background check is required. Must be 18 years or older; pay is Medicaid-determined at $13.61/hr up to 56 hrs a week. PCA needed to care for 25 yr old male. Must be over 18 yrs old and pass background check. Duties include meal prep, laundry and personal care of individual that functions at approx 18 month old skill level including incontinence and non verbal. Shifts include weekends and evenings. Bi-weekly pay through CDCN, $12.70 hr. Start date would be upon completion of employment package and approval by CDCN/background check clearance. Located in individuals home in the Winterpock area. Great learning job for persons who are considering nursing or special education careers. This is not a companion position due to the level of care necessary. For those commenting on too many responsibilities (basically three listed), low pay etc. I will expand … this is NOT private pay but paid through Medicaid, there is a reason he is on Medicaid. Medicaid is funded by federal and state funds so please consider your comments before attacking the job post. There are hundreds of disabled, low income persons that are in this same position so your comments are not necessary and you can please be polite and move on.

Supervise and Assist 23 yr old male with daily living activities at home. This individual is incontinent and functions on a 18 mo old cognitive level. He is non verbal and requires lots of assistance and supervision in order to complete basic daily living skills. Food prep and light cleaning in his living areas. Must be able to climb stairs numerous times a during shift to access upper living areas.
