🌊💡 Congratulations to Erika McDowell Kemp, OTD, OTR/L, BCP, FAOTA, and Jewel Crasta, PhD, OTR/L, of The Ohio State University on securing a Department of Defense grant for the AquOTic Lab! 🎉

Through their research, the AquOTic Lab has already served more than 70 children and their families, helping kids build swimming skills and empowering families to feel confident at the pool or on vacation.

This work is made possible by contributions from students, caregivers, and collaborators at Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities, OSU, Florida International University, and many more.

Not only does this research transform lives locally but also sparks national and international interest. The AquOTic Lab has launched a Community of Practice through AOTA to connect OTPs and adaptive swim instructors across the country and beyond. 🌍

👏 Join us in celebrating this incredible accomplishment and the impact of occupational therapy in research, practice, and community well-being!
