We will be open Saturday morning as usual (8:30-10:30ish but will stay later if there are a lot of people needing to be seen).

We’ll keep you updated with times for opening and closing next week. If we really have the serious conditions that are being predicted, NP Pavey and Dr. Bowers will see people through telehealth during normal business hours next week so we can help you without risking the drive into the office.

If you know your child was exposed to flu this week, you might grab a few flu or covid-flu combo tests at the store so you can test at home.

Make sure you have Tylenol and Motrin, any prescription medications (especially asthma medications!) on hand. It may be impossible to leave your house.

See our other post on tips to stay warm if you lose power. Stay safe everyone!

Hello Everyone! If you're not following all of the controversy at the CDC this year and you have follow up questions, just send us a portal message.

We want to reassure our families that our vaccine recommendations will continue to follow the best scientific evidence. Despite recent changes at the CDC, our practice's vaccine recommendations will not change. Changes made at the CDC were unilateral on the part of RFK. This is a striking departure from the thoughtful process that is usually undertaken to adjust the vaccine schedule. This decision did not go through rigorous academic debate and discussion, it did not even involve the ACIP, and it does not reflect the needs of the American public health system, which unfortunately is vastly different from that of Denmark.

We will follow the guidance of the American Academy of Pediatrics, whose vaccine committee is completely dedicated to the safety of your children. The vaccine schedule has always been continually assessed and re-evaluated over time, and we trust the AAP's vaccine committee to maintain that rigor and dedication to evidence even when the CDC has not.

The AAP schedule can be found here:

For those of you that don't have a medical reason NOT to do the flu mist - this year you are able to order Flu Mist to be delivered to your house. Its almost as easy as doing flonase! Great option for kids over 2yo who don't have asthma. Great for kids who hate shots!

Learn how to safely order and use FluMist® (Influenza Vaccine Live, Intranasal) from home. Find step-by-step instructions, safety tips, and important usage information.
