Have you ever wondered what is ABA?

ABA stands for Applied Behavior Analysis, a sceintific behavioral therapy approach that helps people learn and improve new skills and behavior.

WHAT IT IS:
ABA is a research-based therapy that is based on the principals of behavior and focuses on observable and measurable behavioral data, and how the environment and consequences affect actions.

WHAT IT DOES:
ABA can help people of all ages and abilities develop essential skills, improve focus, and reduce challenging behaviors. It can also help people with autism and other developmental disorders increase positive behaviors and decrease negative behaviors

HOW IT WORKS:
ABA uses positive reinforcement and data-driven strategies to reduce challenging behaviors and promote positive behaviors. ABA can also help with a wide range of behaviors that is taken into consideration after weighing all observabal and measurable data.

Halloween is right around the corner! 🎃 👻

Halloween can present unique challenges and opportunities for individuals with autism. Many children on the spectrum might struggle with sensory sensitivities to costumes, decorations, and loud noises commonly associated with Halloween festivities. However, with proper preparation and support, families can create a positive experience by choosing comfortable costumes, planning quiet activities, and setting clear expectations about trick-or-treating. Inclusive Halloween events tailored for neurodiverse children can also help make the holiday enjoyable and accessible, fostering social interactions in a more manageable environment.
