🍊What is your favorite OTF Specialty or Benchmark workout?
This will not win any friends, but I liked the 14 Min Row for Distance and Hell Week. Hell Week for the cool shirt and fun workouts, but the 14 Min row was difficult. With all the wins I’ve been having, and not all of it is easy, it was hard. It sucked. But finishing and knowing I rowed 3300 meters. Wow. I’m starting to work on technique to go farther.
🍊What music gets you fired up when it comes on in class?
Hard driving rock. I have to admit I hear a lot of music I wouldn’t normally listen to, but I do enjoy the mash-ups. It helps keep my mind off of how tired I’m getting and to relax and lean into the effort.
🍊Who inspires you to go All Out?
My work out friends. We push each other to go a little harder and row a little stronger. Can I earn more Splat points, can I burn more calories?
🍊If you could give any piece of advice to someone who is new to OTF, what would it be?
Trust the science of the workouts and keep coming back. Change is hard- this is hard. But it is fun, and you will enjoy the effect it has on your body. The people here have always been friendly and encouraging. My son refers to it as the Orange Cult. We encourage each other. We care for each other and cheer for each other’s successes. Sharing small talk, smiles, and dumbbells. Sounds more like an OrangeFamily to me.
