Veterinary Dermatology Richmond

Veterinary Dermatology Richmond Serving Central Virginia since 2003, Nicola L. Dr. Williamson’s work has been published in text books and Veterinary Journals.

Animal Dermatology Clinic - Richmond (formerly known as Veterinary Dermatology of Richmond) is a leading veterinary dermatology practice dedicated to diagnosing and treating complex skin and ear conditions in pets. Williamson, DVM and the staff at Veterinary Dermatology of Richmond are dedicated to the health and well-being of your best friend. When she opened Veterinary Dermatology of Richmond, Dr. Nicola Williamson had a simple goal: to treat cats, dogs, horses, and other pets with skin or ear problems and educate their owners about the importance of their animal’s dermatological health. Extensive research, study at some of the finest institutions in the country, and recognition by leading veterinary publications all make Dr. Williamson a respected expert in the field. She has also participated in drug trials with major pharmaceutical companies, helping to further better treatment in pets with skin diseases. But it’s the wagging tails of her four-legged friends that turn a veterinary profession into a personal passion. After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree from University of Virginia, Dr. Williamson became a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine after completing her degree at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia. After an internship in internal medicine and surgery at the Animal Medical Center in New York City, she spent three years completing a residency in Veterinary Dermatology at the University of Tennessee before becoming board-certified in veterinary dermatology by the American College of Veterinary Dermatology. Dr. Williamson was voted the Best Veterinary Dermatologist in the Richmond and central Virginia area by other Veterinarians, in Virginia Living Magazine. If your pet is suffering from scratching, chewing, sores, ear infections, hair loss, or other dermatology problems, Dr. Williamson is here for you. She treats all patients with care and compassion
