What’s happening in Texas with Jenifer’s Law is heartbreaking. As NPs, we’ve trained extensively to deliver safe, evidence-based care—especially in aesthetics. Yet I’m seeing more med spas run by hairstylists, non-clinicians, or those long out of practice, offering IV therapy and injectables without proper oversight. My NP colleagues in Texas are frustrated, and I share their concern. It’s one reason I no longer see returning home as part of my path. Patient safety must come first.
