Do we still use drains and dressings after a deep plane face and neck lift? The answer is basically no. Deep plane techniques involve minimal skin dissection, so there’s far less space for fluid to collect compared to older facelift methods.
Since most of our patients also have laser resurfacing, we avoid dressings that could irritate the healing skin. In 99% of cases, no drains or bulky wraps are needed.
