We know many are still reeling from the violence at Utah Valley University last week. It was awful and shocking and has no place in our community. We believe everyone has the right to feel safe—both physically and emotionally.

If you or someone you know has been impacted and needs support, we are continuing to offer free, confidential phone consultations. Please call us at 801-405-7450 and we'll connect you with a trained clinician.

Feel free to share this with anyone who may need a listening ear.

We've been in the community for over a year, but we recently underwent a major change that has led us to rebrand. We're excited to introduce our new name: Beehive Mental Health.

This rebrand represents more than just a fresh look—it reflects our values and our roots. The beehive has long symbolized community, collaboration, and hard work. These ideals are at the heart of everything we strive for: building a supportive environment for healing, where both clients and clinicians can thrive.
It’s also a nod to our home—Utah, the Beehive State—where we’re proud to serve individuals and families with accessible, compassionate mental health care.

Thank you to our community for your continued support. We’re just getting started. 💛

Teaming up with Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction to talk to their crew this morning about mental health and su***de prevention. We expect construction workers to be STRONG - and they are! But this morning we're talking about *mental strength*, and what's required to become and stay mentally strong (because it doesn't just happen on accident).

The statistics are staggering: construction workers experience su***de 4x higher than the national rate - the 2nd highest of any industry. And it's because what they do is so physically, emotionally, and mentally demanding. Su***de is about pain - not about weakness or selfishness. We are proud to be part of the conversations with these groups to help get resources where they are needed most.

Too often groups like these are encouraged to "suck it up" or just "focus on what's important". Mental health is important. And mental strength is not emotional silence.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING 🦃🍁🍽 There is so much to be grateful for! And research is showing that small acts of appreciation, gratitude, and celebration can improve our mental health.

From NPR: “The BIG JOY Project finds that people who commit daily "micro-acts" of joy experience about a 25% increase in emotional well-being over the course of a week.

Examples include making a gratitude list or journal, or engaging in acts of kindness such as visiting a sick neighbor or doing a nice gesture for a friend – or a stranger. Some micro-acts involve celebrating another person's joy, or engaging in self reflection, meditation, or taking the time to identify the silver lining in a bad situation, known as positive reframing.”

So celebrate, give thanks, and love others today with your favourite people and food. It could very well improve your own mental health!

A new citizen-scientist research project aims to test whether daily moments of awe, kindness and gratitude can make a real impact. Early results are promising. And it's not too late to join the study.
