May is Maternal Mental Health Awareness Month…

And nobody warns you…
you can still go through postpartum depression, anxiety, rage, OCD, even psychosis…
even if your baby is gone.

Your body still goes through it.
Your hormones still crash.
Your mind doesn’t just shut it off because there’s no baby to care for.

The anxiety still shows up.
The intrusive thoughts still creep in.
The heaviness.
The emptiness.
The constant overthinking… it doesn’t just disappear.

Except now it’s layered with grief.

Grief people don’t always know how to talk about.
Grief that makes everything feel heavier.
Grief you’re expected to carry quietly… like it’s not as real.

But it is.

This is maternal mental health too.

Even when your arms are empty.
