This is what I submitted;

I am writing in my opposition to SB3. It is destructive and reckless to destroy a entire useful business. It needs to be regulated, yes, but not destroyed. Too many people do NOT qualify for the too expensive and limited TCUP program.
Please, stop this bad bill, or amend it so it is useful.

The State Affairs Committee has voted unanimously to advance SB 3!

Next Step: The full Texas Senate will vote on SB 3. The date of this vote is TBD, but it could be as soon as later this week.

We oppose prohibition and therefore oppose SB 3. If passed, the bill would ban the sale THC products, handing this multi-billion dollar industry over to the illicit market. Even worse, SB 3 would severely criminalize the simple possession of federally legal h**p products. Penalties include up to a year in jail, $4,000 in fines, and a permanent criminal record for a drug offense, which carries significant collateral consequences like hindered access to education, employment, and housing. Many Texas legislators, especially Lt. Gov Dan Patrick has his head up his ass in ignorance. We need leadership like THIS that turns to common sense and education to legalize cannabis. We are also loosing lots of money to nearby legal states. How long wil they stay oblivious? How long will Texans complain, but still for for the same prohibitionist jackasses?
