Big day for a very good boy! 🐾🎉

Today, Miles has officially completed his therapy dog training and is now an official therapy dog and, to make it even better, it’s also his 1st birthday! 💙

We couldn’t be more proud of this calm, loving, and hard-working pup and can’t wait for him to continue making a positive impact in our community. Happy Birthday Miles and congratulations! 🎂🐾

Miles paid a visit to SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital - Midwest to help EMS & Fire Personnel learn more about Co-response and the mission of the Midwest City Police Department CIRT Officers. During this presentation, first responders learned of the goals and objectives of the CIRT Team and the critical role imbedded clinicians play during crisis situations.

While Chief Wipfli is out of town, Acting Chief Miles has approved extra time off for officers in exchange for snacks. Bonus time off for cheeseburgers.

You won’t see Miles around town this week, he’s at the Texas Association of Hostage Negotiators conference in Dallas.

Miles passed his practice test for his therapy dog certification today. He got to enjoy a celebratory hamburger patty. He has to wait a couple more months to take the official test.
