Brookline Healthcare Red Hat Ladies Fill Over 400 Eggs for Annual Easter Egg Hunt!

On March 21st, the Brookline Healthcare Red Hat Ladies gathered for their monthly meeting—and this month, their mission was extra sweet! With our Annual Campus Easter Egg Hunt right around the corner on March 28th, the ladies rolled up their sleeves and spent the afternoon filling Easter eggs for the big event.

Thanks to their teamwork, laughter, and a whole lot of purple and red spirit, the Red Hat Ladies filled over 400 eggs for the Brookline Manor portion of the hunt. Their dedication helps ensure that the children in our community enjoy a fun and festive Easter celebration filled with surprises.

We extend a heartfelt thank you to our wonderful Red Hat Ladies for their time, energy, and enthusiasm. Your hard work makes a difference, and we’re grateful for all that you do!

Brookline Healthcare Residents Welcome the First Day of Spring!

On March 20th, Brookline Healthcare residents joyfully celebrated the first day of Spring with a cheerful Spring Fling Social. The afternoon was filled with laughter, conversation, and plenty of seasonal fun as residents and their families gathered to welcome the new season.

To kick things off, everyone enjoyed a lively round of spring‑themed trivia, testing their knowledge on all things blooming and sunny. The room was full of smiles and friendly competition as residents shared memories and fun facts.
The celebration continued with a beautiful spread of refreshments, including delicious pink cupcakes baked by our very own residents, fresh fruit salad, Jello cups, and a refreshing spring punch. The treats added the perfect sweet touch to a bright and cheerful afternoon.

After refreshments, residents and their family members settled in for a classic favorite—bingo! The room buzzed with excitement as numbers were called, and winners celebrated.

It was a wonderful way to welcome Spring, filled with togetherness, creativity, and lots of fun. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special!

Best Wishes to Harold Stewart on Completing Therapy!

Brookline Healthcare proudly celebrated another therapy success story as Harold Stewart completed his rehabilitation program and was discharged to Magnolia Personal Care on March 19th. Harold worked diligently throughout his stay, showing steady progress and a determined spirit that shined through each session.

During his time with us, Harold shared a heartfelt reflection that touched everyone who worked with him:
“The best part of Brookline is the people. They are tremendous and God is good!”

Our team is incredibly proud of everything Harold accomplished during his time with us. His hard work and positive attitude made each step forward a meaningful one, and it was truly a privilege to support him along his journey.

Congratulations to Kenneth Matthews on Completing Therapy!

On March 19th, Brookline Healthcare proudly celebrated another success story as Kenneth Matthews completed his therapy program and returned home. Kenneth worked hard every step of the way, showing dedication, determination, and a positive spirit that inspired everyone around him.

During his therapy journey, Kenneth received support from our wonderful rehabilitation team, including Marykay Wagner, COTA, and Dennis Larkin, PTA, who are pictured with him in this special moment. Their teamwork and encouragement helped Kenneth reach his goals and prepare for his return home.

Brookline Healthcare Celebrates National Sloppy Joe Day with Gratitude and Good Food!

At Brookline Healthcare, every opportunity to appreciate our team is a moment worth celebrating—and National Sloppy Joe Day on March 18th was the perfect chance to do just that.

In honor of the day, all staff on all shifts were treated to a comforting and delicious meal of sloppy joes and potato chips, a simple but heartfelt gesture to say thank you for the dedication, compassion, and teamwork shown each and every day. No matter the hour—morning, evening, or overnight—everyone had a chance to enjoy a warm meal and feel the appreciation behind it.

A special and sincere thank you goes to our Dietary Manager, whose hard work and culinary talent brought the celebration to life. The sloppy joe’s were absolutely delicious, and staff members across the building couldn’t stop talking about how much they enjoyed them. Your effort added flavor not only to the meal, but to the entire day.

We also extend a huge thank you to our Retention Committee for organizing this thoughtful event and ensuring all staff felt recognized. Their continued commitment to boosting morale, building connections, and creating moments of joy makes a meaningful difference in the lives of everyone at Brookline.

St. Patrick’s Day Sparkle at Brookline Village!

Brookline Village was filled with shamrocks, smiles, and a whole lot of Irish cheer as residents gathered to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in festive style! The Activity Room was alive with shades of green, laughter, and the sweet scent of holiday treats.

Residents enjoyed a delightful spread of St. Patrick’s Day sweets, including pots of gold brimming with chocolate treasures and colorful rainbow treats that brightened every table. From shimmering gold-wrapped goodies to sugary surprises, there was no shortage of magical munching!

The afternoon was filled with fun as residents shared stories, enjoyed each other’s company, and embraced the playful spirit of the holiday. Whether searching for gold at the end of the rainbow or savoring a festive snack, everyone found a little luck and a lot of joy.

It was a cheerful celebration that had hearts smiling and spirits shining—proving once again that at Brookline Village, every holiday becomes a cherished memory.

Brookline Healthcare is delighted to share that Carol Guyer was discharged to home on March 19th after completing her rehabilitation stay at Brookline Healthcare. Carol worked hard throughout her time with us, showing dedication, determination, and a warm spirit.

Her heartfelt words reflect the strong bonds and supportive environment that helped guide her through her recovery.

A Shamrockin’ Good Time at Brookline Healthcare!

Residents, families, and staff at Brookline Healthcare were feelin’ the luck o’ the Irish as they gathered for a lively and laughter-filled St. Patrick’s Day Celebration that was nothing short of magical! From start to finish, the afternoon was bursting with music, color, treats, and plenty of shamrock spirit.

The party kicked off with live entertainment by the talented Ricky Koons, who had toes tapping and hands clapping with his upbeat tunes and crowd‑favorite classics. Residents sang along, families swayed to the music—it was impossible not to smile!

To keep the celebration festive and fun, everyone enjoyed green non‑alcoholic beer, which quickly became the talk of the party. It paired perfectly with the irresistible selection of shamrock cookies, festive donuts, and brownies that disappeared almost as fast as they were served. The entire room felt like a cheerful Irish bakery!

But the fun didn’t stop there—after the music wrapped up, guests lined up for Shamrock tattoos, giving everyone a chance to take home a little extra sparkle and green flair. From tiny clovers to bold shamrock art, residents proudly showed off their new temporary ink all day long.

The celebration was filled with laughter, connection, and heartwarming moments—a perfect reminder that joy grows wherever community gathers.
