Celebrating Exceptional Care at Brookline Healthcare: The "Brag Board"

At Brookline Healthcare, we believe in recognizing and celebrating the exceptional work and care provided by our dedicated staff. That's why we've introduced the "Brag Board", a special initiative designed to highlight the outstanding efforts of our team members.

The Brag Board is a place where families, residents, and staff can nominate individuals who have gone above and beyond in their duties. Whether it's a staff member who provided exceptional care, a co-worker who went out of their way to assist, or someone who did something nice for you, we want to hear about it!

How It Works
To nominate someone for the Brag Board, simply complete a Brag Card and place it on the board located in the lobby. Each month, all Brag Cards will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a Wal-Mart gift card.

JANUARY 2026 Winner
We are thrilled to announce that the winner for January 2026 is Kathy Keiser- EVS. Kathy’s dedication and exceptional service have truly made a difference, and we are proud to recognize her efforts. Congratulations, Kathy!

Join us in celebrating the incredible work of our staff by participating in the Brag Board initiative. Let's continue to support and uplift each other as we strive to provide the best care possible!

A Royal Day to Remember!

At Brookline Healthcare, magic was in the air as residents, staff, and visitors came together for a celebration unlike any other—a day when everyone became royalty. Our community transformed into a kingdom of laughter, love, and sparkling crowns as residents enjoyed being Kings and Queens for the day, surrounded by smiles and a spirit of togetherness.

The excitement began as soon as the crowns came out. Residents were delighted to select from a colorful collection of royal headpieces—some glittering, some whimsical, all crafted with care to match the vibrant personalities of the people who wore them. As the crowns were placed, the transformation was instant: proud smiles, playful laughter, and a renewed sense of celebration filled the halls.

Staff and visitors eagerly joined in the fun, donning crowns and adding to the joyful energy of the day. The shared experience sparked conversations, created memories, and reminded everyone just how special it is to celebrate life’s simple joys together.
The festivities continued at our Valentine’s Day photo booth, which quickly became the heart of the celebration. Residents posed like true royalty against charming Valentine‑themed backdrops, complete with props that added a sweet and playful touch to every photo.

Many residents shared that the day made them feel special, appreciated, and—above all—loved. Whether they were striking a regal pose or simply enjoying the company of others, the atmosphere was filled with happiness and a sense of belonging.
Events like these are a beautiful reminder of the importance of joy in everyday life. At Brookline Healthcare, creating moments that uplift, inspire, and bring people together is at the heart of what we do. The Kings and Queens celebration was more than just an event—it was a testament to the strong bonds within our community and the love we share for the people who call Brookline home.

As we look back on the smiles, the glittering crowns, and the cherished photographs, one thing is clear: this royal celebration left a lasting impression on all who attended. To our residents, staff, and visitors—thank you for making the day truly magical. Here’s to many more moments that remind us that joy is always worth celebrating.

Heartfelt Visit Brightens the Day for Brookline Healthcare Residents

This past Sunday, February 1st, Brookline Healthcare was filled with joy, color, and heartfelt generosity thanks to a very special group of young visitors. The great‑grandchildren of resident Chloe Powell made a touching gesture that brought smiles—and even a few happy tears—to residents and staff alike.

Arriving with bundles of handmade paper hearts, the children set out to share kindness with every resident in the building. Their vibrant creations, each one uniquely crafted with care, were personally delivered room to room. The cheerful energy they brought with them was unmistakable—laughter filled the halls as residents received their homemade gifts.

In addition to distributing the hearts, the children helped transform Brookline Healthcare’s porch windows into a colorful display of love. They carefully decorated the glass with their artwork, turning the space into a gallery of bright colors. The beautiful display can now be enjoyed by residents, staff, and visitors, lifting spirits each time someone walks by.

Residents shared how much the visit meant to them, noting how the children’s smiles, creativity, and generosity truly made their day. Moments like these remind us of the power of simple acts of kindness—and the special joy that comes from connection across generations.

To the Powell family and these wonderful children: thank you for your generosity, your time, and your big hearts. Your visit brought warmth and happiness to our community, and we are so grateful for the love you shared.

Brookline Healthcare Residents Enjoy Root Beer Floats & Dairy Trivia Fun!

Brookline Healthcare served up a deliciously good time on January 27th as residents gathered for an evening of root beer floats, dairy trivia, and lots of laughter. The event brought together sweet treats, learning, and great company—everything needed for a perfect pick‑me‑up!

We were thrilled to welcome the Juniata County Dairy Princess, Kera Bentz, who joined us to make the root beer floats fresh on the spot. Kera is pictured crafting the frothy, nostalgic treats that brought big smiles to our residents. Her energy, kindness, and enthusiasm added an extra scoop of fun to the celebration.

Residents also enjoyed a round of dairy‑themed trivia, testing their knowledge on cows, milk, cheese, and all things dairy. The friendly competition sparked plenty of laughs and a few surprising facts along the way!

The evening was filled with happy conversations, refreshing floats, and the joy of bringing people together for something simple and delightful.

What a great time we all had! Events like this remind us how meaningful these moments of connection are for our Brookline community.
