🌿 Understanding Your Grief Journey 🌿
Grief changes our lives in deep and lasting ways, and healing doesn’t come by wishing the hurt away. Overcoming the brokenness and emptiness means confronting the emotions we're afraid of; it comes from actively mourning the loss you’ve experienced.
A thoughtful article from the Center for Loss & Life Transition highlights the Six Needs of Mourning, which can guide you as you walk the path of grief:
✨ Six Needs of Mourning
1️⃣ Acknowledge the reality of the death
2️⃣ Embrace the pain of the loss
3️⃣ Remember the person who died
4️⃣ Develop a new self-identity
5️⃣ Search for meaning
6️⃣ Receive ongoing support from others
Grief isn’t something to rush or suppress — it’s something to move through. Each of these needs softly allows you to face your loss, allow your heart to feel, and find a way forward that honors both your grief and your loved one.
💬 You don’t have to walk this journey alone. Whether it’s through support, counseling, or compassionate community, there is hope and healing ahead.
