Come on down and help us celebrate our boy Nate earning Budtender of the Month at your Galesburg location!!! This dude is the absolute sweetest and he will make your visit the best experience. Thank you so much Nate!
1. Let’s say a customer is new to cannabis and want to start with edibles. What would you suggest?
The 1906 drops are a fantastic choice for anyone wanting a quick, effective edible with no panicking side effects. I like them all but LOVE the Chill & Bliss drops.
2. If you were a strain, which one would you be?
Georgia Pie: I can be intense at times (especially when I talk hoops and w**d), but overall, I consider myself to have a sweet/kind personality.
3. What is your favorite part about being a budtender?
The education aspect. When someone is generally curious about how cannabis can help their quality of life is what I live for. I was diagnosed with ADD/ADHD as a youth, and as I've gotten older, cannabis has helped me with everything from anxiety and focus issues to fixing problems with insomnia. It's not Devils lettuce like some people think, and I love changing people's perspective.
4.You got the munchies, what's your favorite candy or go-to snack?
I love chocolate chip cookies and Reese cups. I have a terrible sweet tooth.
5.Tell us about a time cannabis saved you or someone you know.
Before NTI, I lived out my childhood dream of being a professional radio sports broadcaster. What I discovered was the media industry is a lifestyle, ranging anywhere between 60-80 hours/week. After a few years, the massive work load/negative work environment made me rethink my decision to pursue a job the field.
The only thing that helped me during that time was cannabis that I could get from friends/coworkers. Without the plant, I don't think I walk away from the media after the basketball season in 2019. I came to Illinois in 2020 to support the state's recreational use of the plant that kept me sane during a real dark time in my life. It's the best decision I've ever made.
