We’ve been quiet, but it’s because we have been holding our breath for the last month!

I never thought I’d say this, but too much rain is a real thing. What started out as our best summer ever quickly turned into a muddy field of mess!

With that said, we had a chance to peek around the patch and had some promising results. The pumpkins are resilient!

In advance of September, Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, take a moment to learn about some of the most resilient kids, researchers and organizations fighting everyday!

This has been a WILD season! To think that two years ago we were pumping water from the ponds to keep the pumpkins growing!

We couldn’t get a photo posted before the seeds were already popping! The map was drawn, the seeds were planted, and 5 days later we have some little sprouts coming up 🌱 🎃

Congratulations to Lisa! 🎉

Davis and I had a big day of rest yesterday, but got down to the barn to draw our winner this morning! Thank you to those that participated and extra special thanks to for her work and donation of this festive quilt!! A great idea to contribute to the fundraiser and one we will certainly use in the years to come!

As we get some last minute pumpkin pick-ups and donations, we are eager to share our final amount raised in the 2024 year! Stay tuned at the end of this week 🎃💛

The pumpkin-picking benefit is Oct. 5-6 and 14-15 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Milan, IL. Proceeds will be donated to Unravel Pediatric Cancer, an organization dedicated to fighting pediatric cancer through research and other means.

On the eve of our second year, we are grateful for all the encouragement and support! Our hands were a lot heavier with our newest teammate this year, but our hearts have never been more full!

We are thrilled to share that Pick for a Cure is back for a 2nd year!
October 5th-6th and 12th-13th you can head to this Milan, IL pumpkin patch to stock up on a variety of pumpkins and squash. There are SO MANY to choose from in all shapes and sizes, and proceeds from the sales of the pumpkins will be benefiting Unravel Iowa and our fight against childhood cancer!

💜 Pick for a Cure is inspired by our little warrior friend Olivia.... and all of the warriors like her, who have to fight to get the chance to grow up. They are choosing not to just be sorry, but to be truly active in the fight against childhood cancer! So inspiring to see.
