Iowa Lineman Rodeo Prep. Great to see the IBEW Locals and Utilities come together. Stop out tomorrow to the Iowa State Fair starting at 8am to see teams from across the state compete. Life is better in a Union.

Plan a stop at the Elwell Family Park to check out the new Lineman Rodeo during your Iowa State Fair visit! This family-friendly event will showcase the talents of electric utility linemen as they compete for the “Pride of Iowa” trophy and top line crew in Iowa title. You won’t want to miss this high-voltage competition.

On June 7th we had our 2nd annual IBEW Local 109 Golf Outing. We nearly doubled in participation and already can't wait for next year. This is a great event we will continue to expand as we continue to grow the Union. Thanks to everyone that came out!

We’re now in open enrollment for our Voluntary Income Protection benefits, to help Members continue to get paid if you can’t work due to injuries, illnesses, surgeries, mental health conditions, substance abuse treatment or death.

IBEW Local 109 extends our condolences to the family of Local 109 retiree Al Shafer. Al was a Local 109 member for over 30 years, and served the Local as an Officer and Steward.
