This week we were out on clinical!

This week we focused on learning some deep tissue techniques. Some misconceptions in deep tissue is that you have to use to a lot of pressure for it to be effective, or that you need to be practically stepping on your client for them to feel it. While those things can be effective you want to apply as much pressure as your client will allow and is comfortable for them so every persons perception of deep tissue is different! A lot of us will be on site this next coming week for clinical we are excited and greatful to the on sites for allowing us to come in and get some real world experience with them!

It's back - EHOVE's Community Expo was super popular last year and it's happening again! Come to EHOVE this Sunday, March 23 from 1-3 pm. There'll be dozens of demos in the program labs, free food and drink, an indoor touch-a-truck event, prizes and tons more for visitors of every age. So much has been happening for the Massage Therapy class! We had our first day of clinical. We did presentations in A&P over Neuromuscular and Myofascial connections. We want to make sure we give a thank you to the LMT’s who joined us 😊

Congratulations to all the ladies PASSING full body competencies 👏🏽👏🏽 We will be moving into clinicals and everyone is excited to visit and get some experience at EHOVE and all the sites! In between we will still continue to work hard and prepare for the MBLEX 😊

This last week the Massage Therapy and the EHOVE Estheticiangroup got ready as we participated in the EHOVE Survival Summit! Which is an event for first responders and their families to attend classes and get some services. We are also moving along in trail guide and A&P as we continue to prepare for the MBLEX.

Full body comps are in just a week! This is where we take all the skills we have been working on and put them in a sequence. The importance of a sequence is to act like a guide or blueprint of how the massage will go. The importance of the competency is to make sure we can safely and properly execute the techniques before we go on to the next step which is clinicals 🤗
