Happy Memorial Day from all of us at Pinebrook of Milford! 🇺🇸

We honored the day with a meaningful Memorial Day service, followed by a wonderful afternoon grill out. To finish the day, we participated in a beautiful poppy field painting tutorial inspired by the red poppy — a longtime symbol of remembrance for fallen soldiers dating back to World War I after the famous poem ‘In Flanders Fields’.

Today was a special reminder to reflect, remember, and celebrate the freedoms we share together. ❤️🤍

We spent the afternoon enjoying sunny weather, and conversations about favorite summer memories, old neighborhood ice cream shops, and the simple joy of sharing dessert with friends. A sweet little outing filled with smiles from start to finish!

Courtney, our Executive Director, and her husband — a true pizza aficionado — brought their pizza oven and created made-to-order pizzas for residents and staff with toppings galore. From classic favorites to creative combinations, everyone enjoyed great food and fresh air!

We spent the day living like royalty at Pinebrook of Milford, with a touch of Jazz Age flair and plenty of classic charm ✨

Our celebration began with a lively round of 1920s trivia, complete with fun prizes like candy ci******es, white gloves, and chocolate cigars—bringing back a bit of that old-time flair! We then gathered for a High Society Tea, enjoying tea sandwiches and sweet treats while sharing conversation 🫖

The evening truly came to life at our Great Gatsby Gala 🎶 With music by the incredibly talented Jonathan Carlisle, the atmosphere was nothing short of spectacular. He set the tone perfectly and arrived dressed to impress, making the night feel straight out of the Roaring Twenties.

Champagne was popped, spirits were high, and our secret speakeasy added just the right touch of mystery. From elegant fur accents and dazzling jewels to sparkly tops and classic looks, our Pinebrook family truly embraced the spirit of the era!

April Art Lab was full of creativity from start to finish!🎨

We designed blooming boot door décor to welcome the season, created leaf reveal butterfly art in celebration of Earth Day, and even explored something new with handcrafted “junk journals”—each one as unique as the person who made it.

It’s always so special to see everyone’s ideas come to life and to watch creativity bloom right along with spring here at Pinebrook 💜

We celebrated Earth Day this year with our 2nd Annual Clothing Swap! 🌱♻️

It was so special to see everyone come together to share, swap, and give new life to clothing. All remaining donations were given to Joy, who graciously donates her time and efforts to Milford Miami Ministries.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this event such a meaningful way to give back to our community!
