Today I close the door to my past, open the door to my future, take a deep breath and step through to a new life. — Celebrating Jayden's choice to follow Jesus in believer's baptism!

This public declaration in baptism is a powerful identification with the core acts of Jesus's life and the salvation He offers:

Identification with His Death and Burial: The act of being fully submerged in the water symbolizes dying to one's old life and being buried with Christ.

Identification with His Resurrection: Coming up out of the water signifies being raised to a brand new life, just as Jesus was resurrected from the grave.

A Public Confession: Jesus Himself was baptized, setting an example for His followers. This act is an outward expression of an inward commitment to emulate His obedience and publicly align oneself with His mission and community.
