Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our school-based therapy team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide services that help students develop the skills necessary for success in the educational environment.

Responsibilities:
-Assist in implementing therapy plans designed by the OT to support students’ educational needs.
-Provide direct therapy services to students in individual or group settings.
-Assist students with improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care tasks, and classroom participation.
-Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student progress.
-Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, student progress, and reports as required.
-Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development as needed.
-Adhere to school policies, professional standards, and ethical guidelines.

Qualifications:
-Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
-Current COTA certification and state licensure (or eligibility to obtain).
-Experience working with children, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.
-Strong communication and collaboration skills.
-Ability to work independently while taking direction from the supervising OT.
