Did You Know? šŸ’§

As we age, our body doesn’t always signal thirst the same way it used to… even when we need water.

That means dehydration can sneak up without us even realizing it.

Staying hydrated plays a huge role in how you feel day to day, including:
• Energy levels
• Muscle function
• Balance and coordination
• Even reducing risk of dizziness and falls

A simple goal to start with šŸ‘‡
āž”ļø Keep a water bottle nearby
āž”ļø Take small sips throughout the day
āž”ļø Don’t wait until you feel thirsty

Little habits like this can make a big difference in how your body feels and functions!

Community Resource Spotlight šŸ’™

This month, we’re highlighting The Key, a trusted home care provider that helps aging adults stay safe and independent at home.

Whether it’s a little extra help around the house, companionship, or more consistent support, they create personalized care plans based on each individual’s needs.

We know that staying independent doesn’t always mean doing everything alone. Having the right support in place can make all the difference.

If you or a loved one could benefit from additional help at home, they’re a great resource to explore.

Challenge of the Month šŸ’Ŗ

This month’s focus is simple… but powerful.

āž”ļø Stretch for 5 minutes every morning

It doesn’t have to be complicated. Just a few gentle movements to get your body awake, loosen up stiffness, and start your day feeling better.

As we age, stiffness can sneak in quickly, especially after a night of not moving. Taking a few minutes each morning can help improve mobility, reduce discomfort, and even support better balance throughout the day.

Consistency is what really makes a difference.

Give it a try this month and see how your body feels!

This Mother’s Day, give her something that truly matters šŸ’—

Not another gift that sits on a shelf…
But something she feels every single day.

Confidence in her movement.
Strength to stay independent.
Balance to keep doing what she loves.

If you’ve noticed Mom moving a little slower, being more cautious, or not quite as steady as she used to be… this is your chance to be proactive.

At Balance in Motion, we help aging adults stay strong, steady, and confident in their everyday movement so they can continue living independently and doing what they love.
