Kent-Sussex Industries, Inc. (KSI) The mission of KSI is to create opportunities for individuals with disabilities to learn and grow.

Through training, education and supportive programs and services, we enable individuals to accomplish their personal and work-related goals. We design programs to help our clients determine and reach their own productivity and independence goals. We provide a variety of program choices to help them decide which program is best suited for their abilities, interests, skills and needs.

BASKETBALL SHOWCASE MADE ALL KINDS OF POINTS
80 KSI athletes got to show off the skills they learned during weeks of basketball training based on Special Olympics models at KSI. On hand to help make the event even better was Special Olympics Delaware Director of Unified Champion Schools Nate Threatts. Also generously giving of their time and good hearts were City of Milford Police Department Chief Ceclia E. Ashe and Sgt. Timothy C. Maloney. A great thanks also to Participant organizer Gilliean Walsh and Participant greeter Charlie Nabb. You can see it was a great time for many people, including family members and KSI supporters who came to cheer athletes on.

Volunteer teams from Kent Sussex Industries, Inc. (KSI) have been giving their time and talents in our Milford Volunteer Room for more than a decade—and the impact has been profound. Their service has touched countless lives, supporting neighbors facing food insecurity while also creating meaningful, fulfilling experiences for the volunteers themselves.

Last year alone, KSI volunteers donated an amazing 764 hours! Thank you for your long-standing commitment to our mission—and for being such a valued part of our volunteer community. 💙

WILL ISHMAEL HONORED AS KSI STAFF OF THE THIRD QUARTER 2026
KSI Driver Will Ishmael was recently honored as Staff of the Third Quarter 2026. He was highlighted for his personalized attention and care for KSI’s program participants that goes well beyond his basic duties of transporting individuals between home and life enhancing opportunities. He is now eligible for the distinction of Staff of the Year to be presented at the KSI Annual Dinner on Thursday, July 9, 2026.

KSI’s Southern Campus Program Director Jessy Adams said it all when she stated, “Will has a huge heart for our participants. He makes sure they feel cared for, supported, and valued. His positive attitude, constant smile, and genuine laughter create a warm and welcoming environment for everyone.”
