🚨✨ New Foundations Recovery Housing is making HISTORY ✨🚨

We are restructuring our nonprofit Board of Directors and looking for 3 new leaders to join us. These are unpaid seats, but the impact is powerful. Together, we can build a recovery housing system that is safe, ethical, and truly supportive for individuals and families.

What we’re looking for:
👉 Commitment to our mission of safe and supportive recovery housing
👉 Willingness to attend monthly board meetings and be actively engaged
👉 Experience in areas like finance, nonprofit leadership, housing, behavioral health, or community development
👉 Strong ethics, accountability, and teamwork to guide our organization forward

This is more than a board seat — this is a chance to help shape the future of recovery housing in our community.

🚫🚩COERCIVE CONTROL AWARENESS 🚫🚩

🚩Silent Treatment or Stonewalling is a form of Emotional and Pychological Abuse.

🚩 Abusers use this tactic often in intimate partner relationships particularly in conflict or when they are not getting what they want or desire from the relationship.

🚩 By Stonewalling they manipulate their partner's emotions and make them begin to question their own reality. With thoughts of guilt, wrongdoing, wortlesness, the need to walk on eggshells and apologise for things they haven't even done wrong in the first place.

🚩 The affects of this Abuse seriously affects the person's mental health. They can feel anxious, depressed and develop low self esteem.

🚩 Over time it can erode the person's sense of self worth and leave them isolated, scared, and alone.

🚩 Exactly what the Abuser wants. They need to feel Power and Control. Ownership and Possession.

🚩 This is Not A Healthy Relationship. This is a Abuser taking out their Anger, Frustration and Toxic behavior on the person they should only be treating with Respect. It is harmful and hurtful and creates long term trauma for a Victim.

🇦🇺⛔️ COERCIVE CONTROL IS NOW A CRIME IN THE FOLLOWING STATES OF AUSTRALIA;

•QUEENSLAND

• SOUTH AUSTRALIA

• NEW SOUTH WALES

🚩 Victims of this Insidious Behind Closed Doors Emotional and Pychological Abuse Can Now Begin To Get Justice.

✨ Remembrance Spotlight: Jason Newsome ✨

Today, we pause to honor and remember Jason Newsome. Jason wasn’t just a house manager at our Harris home — he was the heartbeat of it. He helped create a true brotherhood within those walls, a place where men could lean on each other and feel supported.

Jason was the funniest, most caring soul. He could make anyone laugh, even in the hardest times, and he had a way of showing up for people that made them feel seen and valued.

He was the guy you could call for anything, anytime, and he’d be there. His presence turned the Harris house into more than just a sober living home — he made it a family.

While we move forward, we take time today to look back in remembrance of who Jason was and the lasting impact he made. His spirit lives on in the laughter, care, and brotherhood he fostered.

“Letssss goooooo”

Forever part of our story. Forever part of our hearts. 💙

When we work together, positive CHANGE is always possible!💙

Yesterday, we had some extra special visitors from Hamilton County's CHANGE Court join us for essential discussion and a tour of the CAT House. We're grateful to be working alongside their team to make hope and healing accessible for all!

Special shout out to Hope Godfrey, clinician, Judge Janaya Trotter Bratton, and Jessica Hines, Change Court Coordinator, for making the time to connect and collaborate.🙏
