After a serious fall left her non-weight bearing with a fractured ankle, Cheryl arrived at The Elms Nursing and Rehab determined to walk again. With support from her daughter and our dedicated team, she progressed from needing maximum assistance to walking over 100 feet with confidence. Today, Cheryl is heading home—stronger, independent, and full of gratitude for the care that made it possible. 💪

Say Cheese! Today is National Cheese and Wine Day, and our residents observed it by enjoying Charcuterie boards and sparkling wine, and watching a virtual travel tour of France.

Today, our residents enjoyed making their own tie-dye shirts! We did this back in April, and loved it so much we just had to do it again!

"The '60s were one of the first times the power of music was used by a generation to bind them together," a quote from musician Neil Young. Today is National Day of Rock' n Roll, as we here at The Elms celebrated with Music, milkshakes, mocktails, and costumes. "Rock and Roll is here to stay!"

I scream, you scream, we all scream for funky ice cream! Today is national Creative Ice Cream Day, and staff and residents enjoyed some interesting flavors from our favorite local ice cream spot (Shout out to Sundae Drive in Brookline!) We tried Watermelon, Cotton Candy, Salted caramel, and Banana. For residents, Salted Carmel was the overall favorite, followed by Banana

First day of Summer! The Elms hosted a BBQ for residents and staff.

What a wonderful way to kick off summer! Staff hosted a small carnival for residents, other staff, and the community. We enjoyed water pistol and water balloon fights, games and prizes, a dunk tank, and a Kona Ice Truck. Thank you to everyone who helped and participated, as well as those from the community who joined the fun!
