Meet a partner at Govier Brothers Mortuary who has been serving families for over 30 years!
His journey began in high school, starting with mowing lawns and washing cars at the funeral home just 60 feet from where he grew up. Now a licensed funeral director and embalmer since 1994, he considers this work far more than a jobβit's an honor to walk with families through life's most difficult moments.
His Philosophy: "I hope every family I've served felt they were the most important thing on my plateβno matter how full it was. Treating everyone as if they are my family has always been the only way."
He's passionate about continuing education and believes funeral professionals should lift each other up: "If everyone provides excellent service, the profession will be stronger." He emphasizes the value of fair pricing while never losing sight of the little details that matter most.
Beyond the funeral home, he enjoys family time with his wife, three kids, and granddaughter, plus hunting, raising pheasants, and staying active in community events. He remains very involved in the Nebraska One Box Pheasant Hunt held annually in Broken Bow.
Thank you for three decades of compassionate service to Nebraska families! π
