At So i Heard Music, our Music Therapists have helped people of all ages improve speech, behavior, social skills, and cognitive development! Music therapy is a professional practice in which music is used as a tool to improve practical life skills. The So.i.Heard Music Therapy program has helped clients to address many functional goals, including managing behavior, enhancing communication, improving social skills, building healthy coping strategies, and encouraging self expression.

Our Story

So i Heard Music opened in July of 2013, and the Music Therapy program launched in 2014 and has been growing ever since! Our team, led by Program Director Brooke Slemmer, MM, MT-BC, consists of five skilled Music Therapists with varying backgrounds and musical and therapeutic styles. Our therapists have helped people of all ages to improve their speech, motor skills, behavior, social skills, and cognitive development! We provide music therapy, adapted music lessons for individuals with special needs, and custom programs for schools and other facilities.
