Yesterday, on this day of remembrance and gratitude, some of our Highland Cove Directors had the honor of delivering special gift baskets filled with chips and salsa, along with a whole lot of appreciation, to some of our local Millcreek Firehouses. We were lucky enough to spend time with three incredible EMS teams and personally thanked them for all that they do. These amazing First Responders are always the first to arrive, with steady hands, calm voices, and kind smiles that help ease our residents' fear so that they can get to work and do what they do best. Thank you for being the heroes we can count on-not just today, but every day.

Highland Cove kicked off our Ageless Adventure with a culture celebration that traveled far and wide, without ever leaving home! We were honored to host a Native American Powwow, where dancers ranging from 2 1/2 years old to elders took the stage in striking traditional regalia. From the intricate beadwork to the bear claws and feathered headdresses, every detail told a story-and our residents were absolutely in awe. This unforgettable experience brought history, heritage, and heart to our community. What a way to start the week!

Meet Highland Cove Assisted Living's New Bean Bag Baseball Team! The concentration was deep, and it looked like the residents just took a bite out of a lemon as they threw their pitches. Excitement and laughter erupted as you could hear it as far as the front lobby as the residents started making base hits! Stay tuned as we decide on our official team name! The Independent Living residents don't know it yet, but they are looking to challenge Epic Games. It sure will be a great showdown to see! Popcorn, peanuts, and drinks? They will definitely be a must for this game-day experience!

With just a simple voice command, residents will be able to:
✅ Video chat with family and friends—making it easier to stay in touch and feel emotionally connected-even from a distance
✅ Hear daily menus and check what's cooking anytime
✅ Access the daily calendar of activities—never miss a class, game, or social gathering
✅ Set medication reminders, call for assistance, and more

Annual Highland Cove Car Show!

You could hear the engines rumbling down Highland Drive as 29 stunning classic cars rolled in for our Annual Highland Cove Car Show! Each car backed into its spot with care, owners polishing every detail to perfection.

The air was filled with laughter and nostalgia as residents shared stories of the cars their dads drove. One resident joked, “My dad never gave me a cool car like these—I had a Ford Maverick! But hey, I was just happy to have a car!”

The smell of burgers and hot dogs sizzling on the grill added to the festive atmosphere, with plenty of potato salad and other delicious fixings. One car owner said the food was so good, he couldn’t resist grabbing both a cheeseburger and a hot dog—and loved them both!

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this event bigger and better than ever. We can’t wait to see what next year brings!
