One of the steps to change is knowing what goals to set so you are actually making progress towards the change you want to make.
Ex. Water is extremely important to your body. It is recommended that you should have 9 cups of fluids if you are a woman and 12 cups of fluids if you are a man and most of the fluids you intake should be water. To discover what goal you need to set, you should first take some time to track what water you drink. Then you will be able to make small manageable steps towards improvement on getting enough water.

“The touchstone of brain health is a person’s ability to function well in daily life and work. This includes making wise decisions, solving problems, interacting successfully with others, and enjoying an emotional balance. All of these functions demand the capacity to remember, comprehend and learn; to process information, events and people; to think strategically; and to be innovative in solving problems as they arise.”

The concept is so new that in 1999 we trademarked the term. We continue pioneering research for a fuller understanding – and for real-world benefit.

Some 50 million people worldwide suffer from dementia. Alzheimer’s disease is the first leading cause of dementia, though not the only cause. Cognitive decline is a part of normal aging, sure, but dementia has distinguishing signs and symptoms of greater cognitive impairment. Dr. Richard Isaacson, Director of the Alzheimer’s Prevention Clinic at Weill Cornell Medicine, dedicates his practice toward improving the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. In this podcast (link below), he discusses the three stages of Alzheimer’s disease, as well as its signs and symptoms. Want to learn more about cognitive decline and dementia due to Alzheimer’s? What is Brain Stride all about? Well, as it turns out, one-third of dementia cases can be attributed to modifiable lifestyle factors. These factors include diet, physical activity, stress, and sleep. At Brain Stride, we seek to help prevent the onset of dementia by monitoring brain health before symptoms of cognitive impairment arise. Brain health tracking, then, involves tracking biometrics, biomarkers, brain activity and cognitive abilities. We can, then, adjust our lifestyles to improve in each aspect of brain health and monitor our progress. Dementia prevention isn’t quite as difficult as it sounds, after all!
