Grateful for all who have shared pieces of their souls with me. Mary Flynn Boener ACSW LCSW PhD has been a licensed clinical social worker since 1994. Mary started her professional career in Washington, DC working with victims of violent crimes, homeless Veterans, substance dependent chronically homeless men, substance dependent pregnant and postpartum women, abused and neglected elderly and incarcerated adolescents. Over the years Mary has assisted in successful substance and mental health interventions and has assisted families to process trauma. Mary, trainer, coach, grant writer, fund raiser, marketing and public relations professional, also provides educational and informational talks in person or on air.

Sometimes when I get on a roll, the people I see laugh and say, "Oh God, here come the markers", or they pick on me for other quirky things I do. I often hear that I am not a normal counselor. All I can say is, thank God! Change is possible! I believe that for everyone who talks to me. I love what I do and am grateful for the people who trust me to hear their issues!!!!
