We’re excited to share our second Peer Spotlight — highlighting another incredible story of recovery and hope.

From the streets of Athens to living clean, married, and building the life she deserves, Kristy Hampton is a shining example of what recovery can do.

Kristy began her journey in AA, and today she embraces All Recovery, welcoming every pathway that leads to healing. She now leads our All-Recovery meetings at Oconee Recovery Coalition, creating a safe, welcoming space for anyone seeking hope and connection.

Her story reminds us all that no matter where we start, a new beginning is always possible. 💪💜

🌸 Peer Spotlight: A Journey of Hope and Healing

Christina R Morris— Leader of our Moms Supporting Moms Group

My name is Christina Morris. I’m 41 years old, and I’ve struggled with the disease of addiction for most of my life.

I was raised in a family that did the best it could with what it knew. Addiction took nearly everything from me — my stability, my peace, and most painfully, time with my five children.

Today, I have over a year clean and am a proud participant of the Ocmulgee ATCC. I’m active in my community and lead our Moms Supporting Moms group for mothers in recovery who are overcoming custody challenges and loss.

I love recovery and helping others, and I can always find something to be grateful for. I can only keep what I have by giving it away. 💜

Christina, your courage and compassion inspire us all. Thank you for helping other moms find hope, healing, and strength through connection and recovery. 🌱✨

🌸 Moms Supporting Moms Group Highlight! 🌸

This week’s group, led by one of our amazing peer’s Christina R Morris, started with sharing our happiest moments — a beautiful way to connect and reflect — followed by some inspiring art therapy. 🎨💜

It was such a powerful and positive space to open up, share, and support one another. We are so thankful for Christina’s dedication and hard work in making this group such a success — it continues to grow every week! 🙌💪

If you’re a mom in recovery, walking through custody challenges, losses, or just needing connection, please know you are not alone. 💜 There’s a place for you here.
