🎗️ September is Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month 🎗️

Gynecologic cancers affect thousands of women each year—including cervical, ovarian, uterine (endometrial), vaginal, and vulvar cancers.

🔑 Early detection saves lives.
➡️ Regular screenings
➡️ Routine check-ups
➡️ Awareness of warning signs

This month, we stand with survivors, support those in treatment, and encourage open conversations about women’s health. 💜

On this day in 1897, Sir Ronald Ross discovered that female mosquitoes transmit malaria — a breakthrough that changed the course of global health.

Today, we honor that discovery by raising awareness about mosquito-borne diseases like:
🦟 Malaria
🦟 Dengue
🦟 Zika
🦟 West Nile Virus

Protect yourself and your community:
✔️ Eliminate standing water
✔️ Use insect repellent
✔️ Install or repair window screens
✔️ Wear long sleeves when outdoors

From local vector control to global disease prevention, public health teams are on the front lines protecting communities every day.
Let’s keep the buzz going — share a tip or thank your local public health team below!
