This past Thursday, Aug 28th, at their Annual Meeting, Augusta Partnership for Children (APC) honored the Georgia Department of Public Health – East Central Health District with the Outstanding Collaborative Supporter of the Year Award.

We are so proud of our Director, Dr. Donohue (right), for receiving this recognition on behalf of ECPHD. Her leadership, compassion, and dedication to serving our families and children continue to inspire us all.

Special thanks to Lisa Murray, Jan Walker, Lisa Ann Wheeler, and Olaundra Grace (left) for all that you do. Your hard work and dedication have been instrumental in building meaningful partnerships and strengthening our community impact.

On this day in 1897, Sir Ronald Ross discovered that female mosquitoes transmit malaria — a breakthrough that changed the course of global health.
