The Mission Be curriculum introduces students and educators to the neuroscience of stress and teaches practical tools for being present, regulating emotions, and building healthy habits in daily life. Lessons include breathing practices, visualizations, mindfulness exercises, and reflective activities that help students recognize stress in their bodies and learn simple ways to calm their minds, improve focus, and strengthen emotional awareness.
The program also explores digital wellness and encourages healthy relationships with technology through digital detox practices.
Students are introduced to core social and emotional learning values such as compassion, empathy, gratitude, and altruism, helping them build resilience, strengthen relationships, and develop skills that support mental health and well-being.
Mission Be’s curriculum is aligned with New York State standards for mental health, the New York State Next Generation Learning Standards, New York State Social & Emotional learning framework, DASA and PBIS.
