We were visited by Western Holmes 4H club who planted flowers, pulled weeds and mulched for us. The laughter and energy kept residents smiling. Thank you to each one of the families and also to Woodland Mulch who helped make this possible. It was much needed to hear life in all its glory. Its been a long time coming for some sense of normalcy. Thank you Danielle and Judy for remembering us

Family letters will be going into the mail today with our updated policy and procedures for indoor visitation. Please keep a few things in mind. ALL visits MUST be scheduled, with the new regulations I must update the state weekly on who/how many visitors were in contact with our residents. This is for contract tracking purposes. Visits will immediately be stopped for inside and outside if Holmes county turns into a red county. Each resident will be given equal opportunity for visitors and I have had a meeting with them to describe the plan. Visitors MUST wear a surgical facemask at all times when inside or you will be escorted out. All visits MUST be called to Regina before arriving to determine staff availability. Again we are excited for this transition however please keep in mind there are many hoops and regulations that are beyond our control. I anticipate being as flexible as I have been and expect to see you soon. If you have questions please me at 330-275-2431.

Indoor visitation will be able to resume per the Governor's order very soon. We are excited to see this step being taken, but are also aware of the increased risks this can present to our clients. We are working diligently to adhere to the order while offering as much flexibility as we can based on the strict guidelines in place. Please bear with us as we finalize our preparations. All visits MUST be called ahead and scheduled. I will be glad to discuss any concerns you may have and of course I'll be mailing the policy to those of you who receive our updates. As always, feel free to call me with any questions. 330-275-2431 Regina

We've received some gifts from anonymous friends after assistance from Danielle Wagers putting us into the list for Holmes County Seniors. The butterfly window is a hit and the ladies enjoy looking out at the birds. Yesterday we had Dairy Queen sundaes for lunch, that silly car of mine really needs checked, it just turns for ice cream too easily.

So today brought a visit bearing gifts of food and homemade face masks for everyone. Sneaking pictures is getting more difficult the novelty is wearing off. Thank you so much to Helen Sowards of Coolville Ohio, ps I was told I need her biscuit recipe.

So, here's our Memorial Tree decorated for spring. Our resident squirrel that eats birdseed as quickly as he can, causes some residents to bang on the door or open it to yell and scare him away. The daily riddles continue and are running low, feel free to send more if you have any. Our grass is green, flowers have sprung and seeds are sprouting. I've already started planning our "Breakout Cookout" once we can socialize again. Hope you're all well and safe.

Yesterday was a busy and fun day. The sun was shining and some of our residents went outside to enjoy the natural Vitamin D. They began planting seeds for our flower beds, the vegetables will come out probably today. Crafts continue to be a source of entertainment for them and staff. Laughter could be heard throughout the building off and on all day. Ina came in to do her in services and sang with/for the ladies. Nothing better and more calming than some well loved hymns. Staff are reinforcing hand washing, cough etiquette and social distancing and keeping up with the never ending updated information while trying to ensure calm and reassurance. Prayers continue for all of our friends and families that we love and miss so much. Oh yeah, the riddle of the day is included too, enjoy.

Mail delivery today was a trip lol, mailbox was full and a package on the ground. Among the typical mail was 4 envelopes addressed to "My Friend" no name on the envelope just an address. I passed these out to 4 residents I feel either would write back or really needed to see that verse. Thank you to our anonymous friend.

I know typically our families enjoy seeing their loved ones and the rest of our residents during their visits. One family member dropped off hugs for them all until she can visit again.
