There have been some cases of measles in nearby Knox County. Take this opportunity to review your own vaccine record and make sure you and your family are up to date with your MMR vaccines. The vaccine is the best way to prevent the measles infection. Give our office a call to see if you or your child are due for a booster!

Measles is more than “just a rash.” It’s a highly contagious infectious disease that is easily spread from person to person through coughing and sneezing. Good news? The MMR vaccine offers great protection for you and your kids.

February is American Heart Month! Here are some tips for you to keep your heart at its best.

- Get active! Take a walk. Watch and do a chair yoga video.

-Eat healthy. Try a new recipe this week.

-Get enough sleep. Aim for 7 hours of quality rest.

-Get control of your cholesterol, blood pressure and blood sugar.

-Schedule a wellness visit with a provider at Holmes Family Medicine to discuss your risks and how to improve your health.

We will resume normal hours on Thursday January 30.
