Now is a perfect time for older Ohioans to build an emergency kit or check that yours is fully stocked and up to date.

A well prepared kit can make all the difference during power outages or severe weather. You should also have a safe shelter plan.

⚠️ Holmes County Weather Alert ⚠️

Be weather aware today (March 31st) through early Wednesday morning. We could see multiple “pop-up” thunderstorms bringing strong wind gusts, hail, heavy rain, and even the possibility of a brief tornado.

Rainfall totals may reach 2–3 inches in some areas, which could lead to flash flooding—especially in low-lying or poor drainage areas.

Know the difference:
🟡 Watch = Conditions are favorable — stay alert
🔴 Warning = Severe weather is happening — take action immediately

Stay safe:
⛈️ Head indoors at the first sound of thunder
🌪️ Move to the lowest level of your home or an interior room
🌊 Never drive through flooded roads — Turn Around, Don’t Drown

Make sure you have multiple ways to receive alerts and that your family has a plan in place.
