I am so sorry I have not been active on this page recently. We have had some rough times as a family and I have been needed elsewhere. I am hoping to be back soon and will post when I’m feeling a little more settled. Thank you for your patience with me.

Hey everyone! Hope you're having a great Thursday and looking forward to your weekend. I am so looking forward to my sweet niece getting married tomorrow night and spending time celebrating with family. I've been busy adjusting to a new season in life- sending our middle son to college! In Virginia. 5&1/2 hours away! It's stirred up some deep feelings and pushed me to take some time to reflect. Look for a blog post coming soon! I just wanted to say hello and I'm still here and look forward to publishing some blog posts and interesting articles. I also didn't forget about the contest for a free lactation consultation package. I'll have my 2 littlest helpers pick the winner a little later. Enjoy your day, enjoy your babies and have a great weekend!

Have you heard about the Big Latch On? Women across the globe will be latching their babies at a specific time in their communities to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week and bring attention to breastfeeding. There's an event at Silver Spring Park in Columbia. I am working and will not be able to show my support in person but would love to hear about it if you go!

Pumping mommies - don't forget to clean and sanitize those breast pump parts. I heard a very sad story from a Dr friend of mine about contaminated breast pump parts making a baby very sick. Medea sanitizing bags make sanitizing your pump parts super quick and easy. Wash your parts, drop them in the bag, pour in 2oz of water, pop it in the microwave for the recommended time and voila! Squeaky clean and sanitary part!

Providing breast milk is one of the best things you can do for your baby’s health and development. Pumping your milk is one way to provide breast milk to your baby. However, keeping the parts of your pump clean is critical, because germs can grow quickly in breast milk or breast milk residue that re...
