To My Dear Patients and Parents,
This is a very hard letter for me to write as it is to announce my retirement from regular pediatric practice on June 1st, 2025. Becoming a pediatrician is something I have wanted since I was four years old, and something I have truly loved being for the past 45 years.
My heart and mind want me to continue practicing for many more years, but my body is telling me otherwise. It is comforting to know that the practice that Cathy and I created will retain its basic principles of compassion and excellent care under Dr. Huebner’s leadership. I will also stay connected and occasionally fill in when needed, so I look forward to continuing to see your face at those times.
I feel so humbled and privileged to have been a part of your lives and to have been entrusted to care for the well-being of your children. I was honored to share the joy of their accomplishments and milestones, and was rewarded if able to ease their physical or emotional pain. The joy of seeing my patients grow from babies into adulthood (and now their own babies) is only comparable to what I experienced with my own children.
I am so thankful to many people: our community for embracing our practice, my wife Cathy for being my love, inspiration and partner, my children for being always supportive and understanding of my calling and forgiving me for the hours away from them, my dedicated staff for their loyalty and commitment to our patients, and most of all, for the incredible hugs from the little patients when I needed them most.
With Love,
Andre Gvozden
