To all my lovely clients -
It seems I had a little cycling accident on Thanksgiving and fractured my pelvis. No surgery, but I'll be out until around mid-January. I'll be rehabbing hard and will be back at full strength! Sometimes the obvious solution to pain is obscured by logic.

I'll often have clients come in and tell me not to bother working on certain parts of their body, like a hip, when they've come with a bad shoulder. "It's arthritis", they'll say, having seen it on their X-rays at the doctors office. But once we've solved their shoulder pain, I'll spend the rest of a session on the hip and sometimes weeks, months or even years of pain are dissolved along with a trigger point (knot) around the hip joint. This is not an aberration, but a common occurrence. So what about that arthritis? It's still there, as the X-ray showed, but it wasn't causing any pain or restriction. That was referred pain and tight muscle from the trigger point - muscular pain.

It is extremely difficult to truly understand the emotional and physical pain of another, as the intensity of their experience cannot be felt, only imagined. But helping them find a solution may only take a minute.

Had to share an email I received today. It's from one of my wonderful clients who asked how to write a review for my website, since she doesn't use Facebook!
She titled it MIRACLE WORKER (yes, in caps!) which I am not, but I am happy that she thinks so!!! Myofascial Release is the real miracle worker.
Here's what she wrote:
