Mills Professional Firefighters were inducted into the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF), as part of the IAFF 9th District, Federated Fire Fighters of Wyoming, creating the Mills Professional Firefighters Local 4961 in September of 2013. The Mills Professional Firefighters Local 4961 was chartered by 8 Mills Firefighters; Dan Beall, Ross Trotter, Jake Bigelow, Jeremy Todd, Justin Melin, Kramer Hirz, Brooks MacRae, and Jared Kelly. President Jeremy Todd and Secretary/Treasurer Justin Melin were honored to attend the 9th District conference and PEP event in Reno, Nevada. A lot of information learned and new friends made! Thank you Reno Professional Firefighters Local 731 for the hospitality and DVP Mike Frainier for putting on such a phenomenal educational opportunity! Big thanks to GP Ed Kelly and GST Frank Lima for making the trip and bringing the IAFF to us! We are looking forward to the next one!

Your Mills Fire Fighters climbed today in honor of our fellow fallen first responders on ground zero. We climbed 110 floors for the lives lost on ground zero, followed by an additional 20 floors for our local fallen first responders. We will never forget.
