The vermillion border (the natural outline of your lips) exists for a reason, crossing it carelessly can create that “duck lip” look. My approach is systematic:

The question isn't how many units you need - it's where they're placed and why.

When patients ask about unit counts, I explain that effective neurotoxin treatment depends on muscle strength, injection depth, and anatomical variation. A strong corrugator might need 8 units while a weaker one responds to 4. The frontalis requires different considerations entirely - we're balancing brow position with expression preservation.

This is why cookie-cutter protocols fail. Every face has unique muscle patterns that require individual assessment.
