Carla Miller, a board-certified family nurse practitioner at The Pearl Clinic in Millsboro, offers a holistic approach as patients come to her for medical care. She takes into account mental health, emotional issues and financial challenges as she helps patients. Based on Carla's years in nursing, she is experienced in addressing many disease processes. She has a special interest in treating thyroid disease and diabetes.

Carla began her nursing career at Atlantic General Hospital, where she worked as a registered nurse in the emergency department. She went on to work in Wilmington for Correct Care Solutions, the Connections Community Support Program and Regional Medical Associates. In 2024, Carla relocated to Sussex County to be closer to family.

Carla is a graduate of Wilmington University, where she earned both her master of science degree in nursing as a family nurse practitioner, and her bachelor of science degree in nursing. She also trained at Delaware Technical and Community College, where she earned an associate degree and diploma in nursing.

Carla Miller, NP is the latest Primary Care Provider (P*P) to join The Pearl Clinic!!

She started her career at Delaware Tech studying nursing in 2002 after her father was diagnosed with diabetes. As a nurse, she worked in the Emergency Department at AGH. Carla went on to receive her ADN in 2006, Bachelors in Nursing from Wilmington University in 2009, and Masters in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner in 2012. She has been working as an NP since 2013.

Carla mentions that she loves every aspect of medicine – her passions are diabetes management, anything thyroid related and pharmacologic weight management. She is excited to manage her new P*P patients!

Alley Cat Competitive Dance team (Millsboro) is having a quarter auction to fundraiser for the team. Tickets are available to purchase $10 in advance or $15 at the door. They also have an all in paddle for $50. We'd love to see you there!
