As we send our children back to school, here is a friendly reminder to think about before you post that adorable first-day photo.

We know you’re proud, but sharing too much information online can open the door to predators, scammers, or others with bad intentions. Even with strict privacy settings, your post may reach more people than you think, and you never know who's watching.

The more details you share, school name, teacher, grade, even their favorite snack, the easier it is for someone to use that info to pretend they know your child. That can lead to unsafe situations, both online and in real life.

We all have a roll in keeping our children safe!

Don’t forget! The Millstone Alliance to Preveny Substance Misuse is having their annual Fishing Derby this coming Saturday, June 7th at Black Bear Lake Csmp. Register through the Millstone Recreation website or contact us at millstonealliance@gmail.com

This is one of the few events you can take your children to that is totally free. Plus it’s a great opportunity to spend time with your children!

On September 1, 2014, I drove my oldest son in an overloaded car to Worcester State University.  I had never felt such pride in my 18 years of parenthood. I dreamt of this milestone. For months, I planned, shopped and looked toward an incredibly bright future.

If you are wondering about the purple flags around the Millstone Municipal Building and in surrounding communities, they represent 47 Monmouth County residents who lost their lives to drug overdose from January through April 2022.
