Successful 2025 MCEF Annual Dinner

On Friday, May 2, we held our 2nd Annual Appreciation Dinner. It was a fun night of good food and fantastic music, and we were able to inform the community about all the programs that make a positive impact on our students. These include our popular Annual STEAM Showcase, our Annual MUSD grant, as well as our scholarships, which reached $17,000 this year thanks to the generosity of our donors. We want to thank our sponsors: Blach Construction, City of Milpitas, International Association of Fire Fighters, Local 1699, Optimize Accounting Solutions, and Joseph & Nancy Weinstein for their tremendous support. We also want to acknowledge our NJROTC volunteers for their support. Please save the date for our next year's event, scheduled for May 1, 2026.

2025 STEAM Showcase is the biggest ever!
This year's STEAM showcase was our biggest yet! We had over 700 students participate with nearly 400 projects. On April 5, at MHS, we hosted our in-person event, featuring over 150 projects. We want to thank our sponsors: Meriwest Credit Union, Technology Credit Union, Santa Clara County District 3 Supervisor Otto Lee, Excel Test, and Bay Area Gurukul for sponsoring this year's event. We also want to give a massive shout-out to the team that put this together (Lovedeep Uppal, Monique Steger, Hazel Won, Chin Song, Karen Muska, Swati Shah, Rob Jung, and the fantastic volunteers from MHS NJROTC, as well as our MHS volunteers). We also want to acknowledge our parents who supported their students in making this another fantastic event. Also, a huge shout-out to Assemblyman Alex Lee (D24) for creating special certificates for all of our participants. Congratulations to Kimmi Tran, who made this year's STEAM Logo and won our Logo contest. Hey Milpitas! Let's Make A Movie - MCEF is excited to support a unique opportunity for our MHS Honors Theatre Workshop, Musical Theatre, and Theatre Design / Technology Classes. Local writer and filmmaker Eric Shapiro is partnering with Ms. Kaila Schwartz to offer these students a tremendous learning experience. And as a community, let's support that. They must raise about $20,000 over the next three weeks to cover the production costs. This will be a short film, so we don't have those "million-dollar" budgets.
